How smart technology is used in student accomodation

Atamate sensor units are installed in each room and these provide all the data needed to control the internal environment and give information for the control of other devices. Each unit contains sensors to measure temperature, humidity, CO2, ambient light and pressure, and it also contains a sounder.

Light switches are inputs to the Atamate system, and can be either energy harvesting, wireless switches or traditional rocker switches. Using traditional switches reduces retrofit costs, and wireless switches can be repositioned easily to improve usability. 

Relays are used to control devices such as window motors, door open switches or heating valves. These are also Bluetooth devices that are installed in ceiling voids or behind back boxes, allowing ease of fitting.
