Peaceful retirement

Retirement means a chance to relax and focus on your well being. Atamate installed a
comprehensive smart home system into this suburban Oxford home including entry, heating and lighting.

Client brief

The owners of this 3-bedroom maisonette were keen to improve the efficiency of their home and make it a more comfortable house to continue their retirement in. They also wanted to control the house from their other property in London.  Ease of use, and hassle free maintenance were important factors for them when considering a smart home system. Particularly as this was not a primary residence, the overall automation solution had to be cost effective to install and maintain. Installing an automation system needed to be completed alongside the refurbishment of the property without impacting on the project timescales.

Project Scope

• Heating – under floor zonal heating
• Lighting – scenes for each room and links to ambient light and occupancy
• Ventilation – smart control of humidity
• Entry – remote and in home control of external gate and intercom system.

Atamate was installed with no impact on the timescales of the refurbishment.  Installation was carried out by the client’s own electrician all within budget. The Atamate electrical design included all elements in the house including LAN and TV to ensure seamless integration. Remote control of heating and access are the key benefits for these clients and Atamate has ensured that the system is well maintained to ensure total peace of mind.
